The maintenance-free uncooled microbolometer sensor produces detail-rich images at 320 x 240 pixels (K53, K55 & K65). Thermal images are displayed on a large bright 4” LCD, helping you navigate easier and make more efficient, accurate decisions.
FSX™ Flexible Scene Enhancement (K33, K45, K53, K55, K65 only)
K53 In-Camera Video Storage
Not only can the FLIR K53 save hundreds of still images, they can record and store 200 video files in clips of 5 minutes (maximum) each. Videos can be useful for later analysis and are ideal for training purposes. Playback videos on the K53 require you to download them to your computer via USB.

FLIR FSX™ Flexible Scene Enhancement Clear Images in Critical Environments
Firefighters rely on technology to perform demanding tasks: locating people in a smoke filled room, finding their way through smoke and dark areas… Luckily, thermal imaging cameras can support them in these tasks. Thermal imaging cameras use the heat emitted from the environment to see through smoke, locate subjects or visualize hot spots. However, in cases where the scene temperatures have low contrast, it can still be hard and time-consuming to get a good picture of the situation. That’s where FLIR’s Flexible Scene Enhancement (FSX™) technology comes in.
The new Flexible Scene Enhancement (FSX™) technology, which is featured on the FLIR K65 camera, provides enhanced image detail in the thermal video image. Firefighters can use the K65 to see ultra-sharp thermal images with the smallest of details.
